Partnership with LBT

LBT are an advanced medical technology company with internal capability in AI, Software Engineering and Science coupled with over 14 years of proven expertise in medical device development. Our business is built on inventing new technologies and successfully managing the end-to-end development of commercialising products in a highly regulated environment. Navigating the invention, product development and commercialisation process, through partnerships is what differentiates us from many other companies in healthcare.

We look to partner with companies, organisations and research institutions looking to develop novel AI solutions for the healthcare market.

Below are projects we are developing currently, if you have something you think you can contribute, contact us!

Project
Histopathology

Digital pathology is transforming the traditional pathologists workflow, enabling digital slide images to be viewed, managed, shared and analysed on a computer monitor. This provides a great opportunity for artificial intelligence to assist pathologists in making better, faster and cheaper diagnosis.

LBT’s proven APAS technology has is well suited to whole slide analysis and we are actively looking for partners who are interested in building new solutions to assist the digital pathology workflow.

Project
Woundvue

LBT’s WoundVue prototype uses artificial intelligence and 3D imaging techniques to accurately measure, wound surface area, wound volume, 3D Wound reconstruction and tissue classification of 8 common tissue types.

LBT are seeking partners with experience in wound care management to co-invest in bringing this product to market.

Project
Gram Stain Automation

LBT’s proven APAS technology has been developed as a flexible image analysis system able to rapidly assess a range of images. LBT have applied this technology and approach to the analysis of digital Gram stain images for the identification of gram positive and negative bacteria.

LBT are seeking partners in digital pathology, slide scanning automation or healthcare image processing to further develop this technology for commercial application.

Project
Biofilm Detection

LBT have worked with the University of Melbourne to develop new technology for biofilm detection in the presence of mammalian tissue. This early stage research project has shown promise to be applied as a point of care testing device to accurate detect the presence or absence of biofilm across a range of clinical applications.

LBT are seeking partners to co-invest in the next stage of R&D.

Project
Lung Cancer

Medical imaging has been identified as a key target for artificial intelligent image analysis in healthcare. Shifts towards advanced imaging technologies has resulted in not only greater image quality but also larger and more complex datasets for radiologists to review. This has increased the burden on radiologists and new technologies are required to assist in this workflow.

LBT’s proven capability in artificial intelligence and image analysis means we are well placed to support the development of radiologist decision support systems to help improve the accuracy, turnaround time and lower the cost of reporting.

Project
Intelligent Image Analysis

LBT’s image analysis platform technology, APAS, is a flexible system able to be applied to a wide range of images. Our approach is to consider the entire end-to-end workflow and work with users to develop trusted and actionable artificial intelligence solutions that deliver real results.

We have a deep knowledge of image capture, quality and analysis. We interested to partner with companies looking to develop artificial intelligence solutions for their imaging analysis processes.
