Automated Reading of Agar Plates using AI

Abstract: This presentation discusses the opportunity to improve environmental monitoring plate reading workflows at AstraZeneca through the use of artificial intelligence for automated reading of agar plates using APAS PharmaQC.

The presentation provides an overview of the APAS PharmaQC technology and outlines the validation approach proposed by AstraZeneca for the adoption of APAS PharmaQC within their routine practices. Key challenges encountered when implementing automation within their current practices are discussed and AstraZeneca outline their vision for the Future State of environmental monitoring plate workflows.
